Kevin Ward

Kevin Wards career spans over 40 years in the HVAC industry. From his first training course in high School to a Local 30 Graduate Apprentice and then a Local 638 Graduate Apprentice. Kevin’s work history holds plenty of challenging and influential jobs including 638 A/C service mechanic at Long Island Jewish Hospital to 638’s Construction Division, and then as a steam fitter mechanic at Health and Hospitals, to name a few.
Kevin had the pleasure of working with his 3 brothers, Eamon, Brian and Michael who were also very successful in the industry.
Luckily for DCAS Kevin made the transition from HHC and was appointed as a stationary engineer at 100 Gold before moving to 80 Centre St. After a few years Kevin transferred to the Steam Fitters shop in DCAS Facilities management where he assisted the supervisor Steve Mays in all daily operations before taking over the supervisor’s position when Steve retired. Kevin’s amazing skill set, work ethic, Initiative, positive attitude, candor, and charm made any job he showed up to a better one on many levels, making DCAS overall a better place to work. We are forever grateful for his services.
